Henry C. Roman, Ed.D.
Principal Partner
The Change Agency—An Educational Consulting Firm
Retired Superintendent of Pueblo School District No. 60
After serving on the community board for St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center, I realized that Pueblo has major health concerns. Too many of our community members do not have adequate health insurance and as a result, do not receive proper health care. Pueblo Community Health Center is one answer to this problem, but it needs to grow and receive continued support—financial and otherwise. I simply want to do what I can to help this outstanding organization. |

Chief Foundation Officer
Pueblo Community Health Center Foundation
I believe health care access is a right, not a privilege. We all need to do what we can to make sure each and every person has access to affordable, trustworthy health care. Pueblo Community Health Center's 25+ year track record, ever-increasing growth, and model of care are strong testaments to its staying power and ability to provide this basic need to all Pueblo residents well into the future. |

Serving on the Building Health LIves committee has revealed to me the great depth of caring that exists for the well-being of our community. It's an honor to be a part of a group that has this goal as its focus.
As a member of PCHC's staff, I am very grateful to the people who have volunteered their energy and ideas to helping PCHC grow so it can serve more people who are in need of medical, dental and mental health care. |

Chief of Dental Services
Colorado Mental Health Institute-Pueblo
It has been my position that dental care must be appropriately integrated with medical care, and integrated health care services should be available to as many people as possible. Pueblo Community Health Center has a strong record of accomplishment in these areas. Serving on the Building Healthy Lives Committee is a way for me to support PCHC and its vital service to our community.

Chief Executive Officer, Retired February 2009
Pueblo Community Health Center
Pueblo Community Health Center’s expansion expand access to primary health care services for at least 6,000 more Puebloans. These services are desperately needed in Pueblo – indeed all over this country. I have had the wonderful honor and privilege of leading this great organization for the past 14 years. This has been a blessing in my life and in the lives of my family. A very special thanks to this Campaign Leadership committee and to our Boards of Directors for your guidance and support. We sincerely appreciate your service to PCHC. You are very special and important to the work we do. I’d also like to thank all PCHC employees. I’ve been in this business a long time and I’ve never been associated with a more dedicated and committed group of people. The entire community can be proud of PCHC’s volunteers and staff members. |

Lucille Gonzales
Accountant, Retired
Colorado Mental Health Institute-Pueblo
As a seasoned board member for PCHC, I reminded myself about my responsibilities and the right decision is always to focus on fundraising. Providing primary health care is our mission and what better way to treat our patients and medical staff than to reward them with a new medical clinic with quality exam rooms? I maintain a hopeful attitude for the 2,000+ individuals who are waiting to register as new PCHC patients. The Pueblo economy must grow, and by enhancing our community by building healthy lives one at a time, PCHC will definitely continue contributing toward a stronger economy. |

Foundation Coordinator
Pueblo Community Health Center Foundation
Many of my friends and neighbors live in fear—fear of the flu bug, broken bones, a child needing immunizations—because they lack access to primary health care. Delaying or postponing treatment for this reason is unacceptable.
I am proud to be a member of Building Healthy Lives. This team of dedicated individuals is working diligently to ensure all Puebloans have access to the primary health care they deserve.

ACOVA Victim Advocate Volunteer; League of Women Voters’ Board Member; Domestic Violence Task Force Member
When I refer someone to Pueblo Community Health Center, I do not worry about the quality of care they receive, or that it will be unaffordable. I know they will be treated with dignity and respect. By helping with this expansion project, I hope to ensure that more of Pueblo's most medically vulnerable citizens receive treatment and are not forced into catastrophic decisions. |

While working with the Colorectal Cancer program at the Dorcy Cancer Center, I help uninsured individuals receive the vital screening services they need. Many of my patients are also PCHC patients.
I believe that quality, accessible healthcare is crucial for all members of our community. I truly support the mission of Pueblo Community Health Center and am proud to be part of this expansion project. |

Principal
Lemuel Pitts Middle School
I worked in School District No. 60 for 41 years as a teacher, counselor and administrator. I retired as Principal of Pueblo South High School.
After a lifetime career in education, it has been invigorating for me to be involved with the Building Healthy Lives Committee. Being involved in this capacity of our community is most rewarding. The passion that this group demonstrates for creating the best medical options for many children and adults in Pueblo has been most inspirational for me. I sense a genuine delight from the committee members when they are working together to help fund this building program.

I feel strongly about being an ambassador of the Building Healthy Lives Committee because of PCHC’s strong leadership, fiscal stability, exemplary record of patient service, and the enormous need for additional services that remains among Puebloans with limited or no health insurance coverage. I am also honored to serve as the President of the PCHC Foundation Board and am looking forward to helping PCHC increast access to health care |
