Pueblo Community Health Center has a history of energy stewardship. Its Colorado Clinic, built in 2009 and designed by RTA Architects, was four times larger than the facility it replaced. Yet its per-square-foot utility expenses were lowered 25% due to energy-efficient design and a 50-kilowatt rooftop photovoltaic array.

Pueblo Community Health Center (PCHC) is pleased to announce that they have been named a Health Center Quality Leader awardee by the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA), a division within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This award recognizes the highest performing health centers nationwide. As a Health Center Quality Leader, PCHC achieved the best overall clinical performance among all health centers nationally, placing in the top 20% for clinical quality measures for the second year in a row. Only five of 20 CHC’s in Colorado achieved this award.
A total of 21 nurses from southeastern Colorado, including Patricia Quillen from Pueblo Community Health Center, were recognized for their extraordinary work and achievement in their field at the Southeastern Colorado Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Virtual Nightingale Nurse Recognition Event. Six nominees were presented the Southeastern Colorado AHEC Luminary Award and will go on to participate in the Colorado Nurses Foundation Virtual Nightingale Awards Gala on October 10, 2020.

Pueblo Community Health Center (PCHC) was recently awarded $25,000 of grant funding by the Colorado COVID Relief Fund to help respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Pueblo Community Health Center (PCHC) announced an infusion of $50,000 in emergency grant funding from the medical aid organization Direct Relief, in partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers. PCHC was among 518 federally qualified health centers to receive funding through Direct Relief’s $25 million COVID-19 Fund for Community Health, which recognizes the profound effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the finances, services, staff, and patients of community health centers.
