Pueblo Community Health Center Breaks Ground on New Clinic

PCHC board members turning soil at groundbreaking event

(Pueblo, CO, Oct 9, 2020) – Pueblo Community Health Center (PCHC) broke ground recently to mark the official start of the construction of their new clinic at East 8th and La Crosse Streets in Pueblo.

The three-story, 64,000 square foot clinic will include a pharmacy, lab, and dental services in addition to medical and behavioral health care. Anticipated open date is October 2021. The current Park Hill clinic staff will relocate to the new building once complete. The clinic will allow PCHC to serve an additional 5,000 patients in the next 10 years.

The project, a $24M, state-of-the art, net-zero energy facility will be the largest investment in Pueblo’s east side neighborhood in decades. In addition to traditional financing and its own cash, PCHC has secured New Market Tax Credits and a lead gift from The Colorado Trust.

The groundbreaking ceremony included Donald Moore, PCHC CEO, PCHC Board President Michael Gage, PCHC Foundation Board President Nick Donovan, PCHC Board Member Angelina Martinez, and Larry Atencio, Pueblo City Council – District 2 Rep.

PCHC has officially launched their $3.3M East Side Expansion Capital Campaign – With You, We Can. For more information please contact Laura Kelly at (719) 543-8718 x152, or to donate online please visit www.www.pueblochc.org/give.
