Pueblo Community Health Center Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer

(Pueblo, CO, May 13, 2019) -- Pueblo Community Health Center (PCHC) is pleased to announce that Claire H. Reed, MD FAAFP, recently joined the center as the new Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Reed is a board-certified Family Physician who joined PCHC in November 2018. She graduated from Texas A&M medical school in 1993 and completed residency in Wichita, Kansas in 1996. She has practiced full-spectrum family medicine in rural Kansas and Wisconsin. Dr. Reed then became medical director of the Aspirus Clinics’ urgent care, where she was involved in the expansion of four clinics and a retail store. She also provided coverage for the hospice medical director and part-time medical directorship for Bridge Community Health Center, the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Wausau, WI. Later, Dr. Reed joined the FQHC in Plymouth, NH as Chief Medical Officer.

"My husband and I are getting settled in Pueblo and are enjoying the sun and outdoors having not had the opportunity as much on the East coast. I look forward to my career with PCHC and building on the great work of Drs. Barris and Krause. My goal is to help clinicians find joy in practice while providing the best patient care available,” said Dr. Reed.
